SE London Creative Health Programme Review and Evaluation Consultancy.
SE London Creative Health Programme
We were proud to contribute to the SE London Creative Health Programme, a pioneering initiative led by the Greater London Authority (GLA) in partnership with the South East London Integrated Care System (ICS). The programme explored how creativity and culture can enhance health and wellbeing across south-east London communities.
As part of this project, we conducted a comprehensive review of the programme’s first six months, identifying key insights and opportunities for growth. We also developed a robust evaluation framework to guide the next 12 months of delivery, supporting the GLA’s ambition to promote holistic wellbeing through creative practice.
This work played an important role in strengthening collaboration between the health and culture sectors, helping to shape evidence-based approaches that demonstrate the value of creativity in improving health outcomes.

Creative Health Moving Forward
Influencing the Next Chapter: SCHWeP and Beyond
The learning and structures established through our evaluation framework have continued to inform the evolving direction of creative health in Southwark, particularly within the Southwark Culture Health and Wellbeing Partnership (SCHWeP).
Our work helped shape a shared understanding of what makes creative health effective — not just as a set of individual projects, but as a cohesive system of practice.
This has directly influenced several key priorities now central to SCHWeP’s approach:
A shift toward person-centred, community-led models of care, placing creativity at the heart of local wellbeing.
A stronger focus on tackling health inequalities through access to cultural participation.
Embedding evaluation and Theory of Change tools into the design of creative health programmes, ensuring they are measurable, accountable and sustainable.
As Southwark looks ahead to the next phase of SCHWeP — including plans for a new three-year commissioning framework from 2025 — the emphasis on structured evaluation, learning and evidence continues to echo the foundations we helped establish.
The Road Ahead
Our contribution to the SE London Creative Health Programme demonstrated how strategic evaluation and cross-sector collaboration can drive long-term change. These principles now underpin the Creative Health Southwark roadmap:
Building stronger partnerships between healthcare, cultural, and community sectors.
Designing programmes that are evidence-driven, equitable and scalable.
Using evaluation as a creative tool — not just to measure outcomes, but to inform innovation and learning.
Through this legacy, our past work continues to support Southwark’s vision of becoming a leading borough for creative health, where the arts play a central role in helping people live well, stay connected and thrive.
