Why this matters
Over the last two years, conversations across Southwark have highlighted a shared desire for stronger community ownership, leadership and cultural preservation.
Cultural spaces where communities define their own narratives and lead together are protective factors for mental health and wellbeing—particularly where systemic barriers have created isolation.
This new programme builds on those conversations and creates opportunities for people to come together, share knowledge, celebrate heritage and shape what comes next.
